Coconut water is amazing for your health. You may have your local supermarket and shops stocked up on this drink in the juice/drinks isle. For sure, coconut water has gained some buzz, and it just seems to be popping up everywhere. There are so many benefits to drinking coconut water. One of my favorite reasons to drink it, is to stay hydrated. Yes, coconut water is packed with electrolytes and is a great way to replenish your body of any spent minerals and fluids after you’ve been working out really hard.

Next time you reach for that energy drink, why not instead grab your self a carton of coconut water. Its natural sweetness is a great way to add a different flavor onto your pallet, if plain water doesn’t peak your interest. Coconut water is made up of 95% water, so its incredibly low in calories. A great drink to have when trying to cut weight or maintain a slim physique without missing out on great flavor.

Coconut water also has very similar properties to your body’s blood. So it can be absorbed really quickly. In fact in some countries coconut water saves lives. For people severely dehydrated, in hospitals they attach a coconut water to a drip and allow patients to intravenously take it into their blood stream! For this exact same reason, coconut water is great of those of you struggling with a hangover. It will absorb into your body quickly and will help re-hydrate you after a long night of drinking alcohol which actually dehydrates you. Not to mention that the fiber it contains will help clear out your system and detox you.


Coconut water is a great supplement to your diet. I enjoy at least a glass of it daily. Its also great for adding flavor into smoothies!
